Dayle Stevens

Dayle Stevens OAM is Executive Director of Data & AI at Telstra, where she leads the transformation of one of Australia’s largest telecommunications businesses into an AI-first enterprise. Her work spans modernising the data foundation (reducing legacy platforms, implementing data mesh architectures) and building AI-agent platforms to scale reuse and embed intelligence across operations.

With nearly three decades of experience in technology leadership, Dayle has held senior roles including Chief Data & AI Officer at AGL Energy and Divisional CIO at National Australia Bank.

She also champions diversity in STEM through her ambassadorial roles with organisations such as Robogals and Girl Geek Academy, and serves in non-executive capacities including at Beyond Blue.

Dayle’s leadership style emphasises cross-functional collaboration, transparency and ethical adoption of AI—she believes in empowering teams rather than replacing them, and prioritising value-driven implementations over technology for technology’s sake.
