Alice Xiang is Global Head of AI Governance and Vice President at Sony Group Corporation, where she oversees AI governance policies and frameworks across Sony's business units, and Lead Research Scientist at Sony AI, directing a lab advancing responsible AI for creative industries. Both a lawyer and a statistician, she previously served on the leadership team of the Partnership on AI, where she led its fairness research team, and holds degrees from Yale Law School, Oxford, and Harvard. Her work — including Sony's Fair Human-Centric Image Benchmark published in Nature — earned her a spot on Nature's ten scientists to watch for 2026.
