Responsible AI Researcher, Salesforce
Aekta Shah is Principal Researcher on the Responsible AI Team at Salesforce, where she leads research into the design, deployment and governance of AI systems that are safe, inclusive and equitable. Her work emphasizes the lived experiences of historically marginalized communities and the “data distortions” that arise when AI is built without broad representation.
Prior to Salesforce, Aekta held senior research roles at Google focused on responsible AI in generative products. She holds a PhD from Stanford University in Tech Design and is a frequent speaker and writer on topics such as bias in AI, human-AI interaction and equitable tech practice.
